Mendokoro Teianda is a 20-seat Okinawa soba shop in Ameku, Naha, that makes its own noodles and offers a mugwort-green fuchiba version. It opens 11:00–14:00 from Wednesday to Sunday or until the noodles run out, and a medium nankotsu-sooki soba cost ¥940 in April 2026.

Teianda sits behind the Muji at Ryubo Rakuichi in Ameku, and the walk from Omoromachi station on the Yui Rail takes about 20 minutes. The kitchen makes its own noodles and lets you choose thin or thick, and the fuchiba noodles have mugwort worked into the dough for a green, faintly bitter bite. The cold fuchiba soba comes tsuke-style with a dipping sauce. Lunches.jp's July 2026 tip is to stir the self-serve raw garlic and chilli into what is left of the sauce and drink it as soup.
Sooki and tebichi bowls share the board with a Ryukyu prawn soba. Service stops when the noodles run out, so plan on an early lunch.
What to order
