Garden Asahi is a lunch and dinner restaurant in a renovated red-tiled house on the road to Taketomi's Nishi pier, and it is best known for nankotsu soki soba.

The Taketomi Town Tourism Association names nankotsu soki soba as the favourite and lists kuruma prawn fry among the other popular plates. The old building has been made step-free inside. It serves dinner too, which few places do on an island that empties after the last boat.
